Question Bringing a rod back to a blank???

Hi all,

I have a few Ugly Stick Gold's wich are a bit "worst for wear" and would like to have a go at renewing them. The rods are OK, it's just a matter of renewing the eyelets. Has anybody got any info on bringing these rods back to a blank?(removing the original eyelets), or is it possible/worth it? Any help welcome. Cheers.

Reguards
